1. GENERAL ITEMS

1.1. Project description

The proposal is based on the technical specification of C & C Engineering, dated August 19th, 2002.

Some parameters are assumed by us. If any different value is required, please let us know to modify the proposal.

By using a DeDioxin catalyst, the PCDD/F is destroyed by catalytic oxidation. No disposal of Dioxin occurs, like using A/C system. The used technology is a proven system with successful operation experience over more than 15 years.

1.2. PCDD/F - Reduction

Organic traces are reduced by catalytic oxidation.

The catalyst decreases the necessary reaction temperature down to 150 - 350 centigrade. Dioxin and Furan compounds are reacting to CO2, H2O, and HCl. The SCR catalyst for NOx removal has been modified to improve the PCDD/F removal efficiency at constant NOx removal efficiency. An example of Dioxin and Furan reduction is given the following :

C12HnCl8-nO2 + (9+0.5n)O2 + (4-n)H2O Þ 12CO2 + (8-n)HCl

C12HnCl8-nO + (9.5+0.5n)O2 + (4-n)H2O Þ 12CO2 + (8-n)HCl

2. DeDIOXIN CATALYST DESIGN

2.1. Design Condition

The DeDioxin system is designed for the following design condition*3) based on the Heat & Mass Balance submitted with the inquiry dated August 19th, 2002. Values are for one DeDioxin system. Total number of DeDioxin systems are two.
